People have been asking for a daily routine video so I shot a couple of clips of what needs to be done on a regular basis. I didn't go into full detail on how we fully clean the room but that will come in a later video. Right now I'm spending my time trying to build up Scout's room so I can take him to my house and I may also take another Fennec to stay with him for a few nights to see how they do together. Once his room is set up the way I want it to be, I will do a fully detailed video on what needs to be done daily to keep these Fennecs happy.
In this video, I show that the Fennec room is swept regularly since they quickly make a mess, especially when there are multiple fennecs. Most people don't realize that Fennecs currently CANNOT be litter trained and will make messes in your home. Unfortunately, I don't have their sand pit built yet, but I am waiting for some extra funds to come in towards the end of this month to be able to afford the extra pieces I'm missing for his room. Unfortunately after the Move, I wasn't able to take everything with me so I still have to wait until I go back to pick my stuff up or I can purchase new items for his room as my money comes in.
I have some amazing plans for his new room and I can't wait to show you guys. Scout is almost 10 years old and in Fennec years, he's an old man now and it really sucks but I'm so glad that he gets to spend some time with other Fennecs even though sometimes he's still grumpy about it. Scout grew up with other animals and other species of fox but never really got to be around other Fennecs. It makes me happy to see him getting along with them and he's usually grumpy about Ricky coming near his sleeping spot because Ricky the Fennec Fox likes to mark near where Scout lays by peeing on the blanket. We have a solution for this that we plan on building in the near future as well.
