This Capitol Hill symposium was held June 10, 2015, for Members of Congress, their staff, Administration officials and the public, and was hosted by the Hazelden Betty Ford Institute for Recovery Advocacy and the Christie Foundation. Speakers included U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island; U.S. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California; U.S. Reps. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts and Erik Paulsen of Minnesota; Dr. Joseph Lee, medical director for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's Youth Continuum; Amelia Arria, PhD, from the University of Maryland; Unite to Face Addiction Campaign Director Greg Williams; Transforming Youth Recovery Executive Director Ivana Grahovac; Ohio State University Director of Recovery Sarah Nerad; and Tim Rabolt, founder of George Washington University Students for Recovery. Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Vice President William Moyers moderated.
